Welcome to Spectrum Magazine

Madison, Wisconsin, is home for so many different and varied people in this vibrant community. In the last decade it often has been heralded as a great place to live, and yet most feel that way without highly publicized endorsements. Since the 2010 census, it has become crystal clear that this community is expanding and stretching to reflect the growth in diversity of its people and ideas; moreover, it seeks to include rather than exclude.

Diversity is a valuable asset, a smart investment that truly reveals the talent within us all. As Madison grows and prospers, we must continue to recognize and celebrate our individual differences but rejoice in our collective love of this city and its heritage. Our aspiration is to showcase and highlight the beauty, the pride and the power of the people and the organizations that have nurtured and grown this city as it continues on its trajectory toward being a great place to live, work, learn and play.

Spectrum Magazine is a result of the Madison Area Diversity Roundtable partnerships and the incredible collaboration that occurs in and around Dane County. Our purpose is to educate, motivate and inspire everyone to see the return on investment this community receives as a result of including and welcoming all who call Madison home!
