Tucked away in a corner spot next to Bloom Bake Shop in downtown Middleton is the appropriately named boutique The Regal Find. And what a find it is—when you
step in, vintage treasures and handcrafted pieces such as a barnwood box for stashing picnic supplies, bracelets crafted out of vintage watches, and hand-painted tea towels are just some of the regal gems you’ll spot.
Owner Jessica Regele formerly co-owned Confectionique, a monthly vintage craft market at the Middleton airport, for two years before striking out on her own. The Regal Find has loads of charm—the ceilings are painted a whimsical aqua, the original wood floors are still intact (from 1850!) and refurbished furniture including
an old card catalog, a dresser with a mirror and beautiful bookshelves serve as fixtures.
Regele works with sixty local and national artists who make fascinating curios, like vintage flatware mobiles, aprons out of vintage fabrics and wooden toys. “I’m floored by the creativity of our local artists,” says Regele.
On the international front, she’s also proud to work with We International, a Ugandan cooperative for at-risk women to sell their handwoven baskets and more.
“That’s why what you’ll find here is something personal—and a regal find.”
