Sushi to Kushi

Restaurant Muramoto transported to bigger digs down King Street; taking its place is Kushi Bar Muramoto. Skewers of tasty morsels grilled or fried, kushi comes with a pick of sauces. Perfect as a starter or snack, choices embrace meat, seafood and vegetarian, running the gamut from predictable glazed chicken to wacky panko-breaded quail eggs. For sumo-size appetites, try some globally inspired rice bowls and unique side dishes including a quirky Hawaiian-style Spam pineapple salad. The bar features cocktails made with shochu (Japanese-style vodka) as well as sake. Kushi serves food from 5 p.m. till after midnight Monday through Saturday.
