A Perfect Match
Toast romance with Bentzi’s Arielle
Toasting the bride and groom is a beloved part of a wedding. But Zach Sauer, bar manager at Restaurant Muramoto, has one-upped the tradition.
Last summer, Sauer concocted Bentzi’s Arielle, a cocktail dedicated to and named after friends who had just announced their engagement. The pair went on to get married and recently welcomed their first child. But fortunately, they’re willing to share their refreshing orange drink with the rest of us.
Made with Hangar One Mandarin Blossom vodka and a splash of San Pellegrino Aranciata sparkling orange, Bentzi’s Arielle is light and sweet. “It’s a real easy-drinking summer cocktail,” Sauer says, adding that it pairs nicely with Muramoto’s sushi rolls and spicy dishes such as sautéed shrimp.
The drink is undoubtedly simple. “It’s orange and orange,” Sauer says. But, he continues, when you’ve found the right match, why complicate things?
That sounds like a pe rfect testament to a new couple.
