Bach Dancing & Dynamite Comes of Age
The renowned chamber music company celebrates its twenty-first season with cocktails
Ever since its beginnings back in 1991, the Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society has been about injecting serious chamber music with a major dose of fun. And co-directors Stephanie Jutt and Jeffrey Sykes have outdone themselves with this summer’s festival, Mixology. “We’re twenty-one,” says Jutt. “That’s why we’re doing cocktails!” Three weeks of concerts bring such creative concoctions as White Russian (featuring all Russian works), Manhattan (highlighting composers from New York City) and Kir Royale (with pieces written for royalty).
