Andrew Sewell Keeps Concerts on the Square Exciting
He brings an eclectic mix to this year's Concerts on the Square
Like most Madisonians, Andrew Sewell looks forward to Concerts on the Square. Each summer, he leads the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra in the Wednesday-evening performances.
“My number-one priority is to play great classical music,” he says.
This month, concerts celebrate the music of Independence Day, film noir, Swedish rockers ABBA and American composers. Sewell enjoys the creative challenge of surprising his audiences.
“We have an hour and a half of light,” he says. “What do we do with that time?”
