I’m a chocolate minimalist. While many consider caramel, nuts, cinnamon and even bacon welcome accompaniments, I like my chocolate straight up. So when I tasted a simple, chocolate-within-chocolate truffle by Gail Ambrosius Chocolatier, I had to learn more. It turns out, this delightful bite is called Lucille’s Vanilla. Named after Gail’s mother, it’s a tribute to the pudding she’d cook for her family on the stovetop. What a sweet story!
