Mary Louise Symon (June 1981)
Mary Louise Symon hasn’t lost her passion for politics, but says she is enjoying a quieter life in the Spring Green countryside. Symon, a long-time political fixture in Madison and former Dane County Board member, served on the Obama election committee in Spring Green and still participates in grassroots groups. She calls the 1964 Fair Housing Ordinance the pride of her career, and feels fortunate to live “among other citizens who are interested in improving the government.”
