A Singer is Home for the Holidays
Kyle Ketelsen performs in the Madison Symphony Orchestra's "Christmas Spectacular"
Kyle Ketelsen spends much of the year performing in operas around the world. Yet the bass-baritone always makes it home to Madison for the holidays.
This year, Ketelsen’s plans include starring in the Madison Symphony Orchestra’s Christmas Spectacular, December 2–4.
He’ll sing Bach’s “Christmas Oratorio,” Vaughan Williams’ “Fantasia on Christmas Carols” and a duet of “White Christmas” with soprano Jamie-Rose Guarrine. And he’s requested Mel Torme’s “The Christmas Song.” “
That’s my all-time favorite,” he says. “I get to croon a bit.”
