| Description |
Riots. Rebellion. Ballet? When "The Rite of Spring" ballet premiered in Paris in 1913, audiences booed and rioted. This new work by Li Chiao-Ping also features Stravinsky's provocative music - but we don't want you to walk away angry. Instead, "Riot of Spring," with its adventurous and athletic choreography, provokes you to think about how acts of rioting and rebellion have influenced contemporary dance and our society as a whole. |
