Make-A-Blanket Day is an annual event where participants spend the day making blankets or, as we like to call them, "portable hugs." No sewing experience is necessary; just a desire to help kids that are in need of "an extra hug." There are plenty of non-sewing tasks to be done.
Project Linus is a Non-profit organization that makes and collects new, handmade blankets, quilts, and afghans and distributes them to area children who are seriously ill, injured or otherwise traumatized in some way.
While pre-registration isn't required, it is preferred for planning purposes.
