Moxie Conference & Women of Distinction Awards

YWCA Moxie Conference: Nerve and Know-How for Emerging Leaders Empowering women is a key component of the YWCA Madison’s mission. The Moxie Conference, a women’s leadership conference, aims to build tomorrow’s leaders and encourage them to draw inspiration from the Women of Distinction Award recipients who will be honored during the conference.   Professional women who are looking to strengthen their leadership skills and move up in their careers are encouraged to attend. Attendees will gain insight from senior-level women leaders.  

MOXIE CONFERENCE SPEAKERS
The keynote address and breakout sessions will feature dynamic national and local speakers.   Keynote speaker Marilyn Tam is former CEO of Aveda Corp., President of Reebok Apparel and Retail Group, and Vice President of Nike Inc. Tam, an author and humanitarian, is currently co-leading HealthWalk, an integrated healthcare services and products company. Breakout sessions will cover topics such as:

• leading & managing talent
• work/life balance
• assertiveness/confidence
• conflict resolution
• building networking skills

  Women of Distinction Awards The YWCA Madison will present the 39th annual Women of Distinction Awards during the Moxie Conference. Women are honored for their community service, professional achievement, integrity, leadership, and dedication to the lives of others and to the quality of life for all stand as a reflection of the YWCA’s historic mission and values.
