Evening at the Casino

The glitz and glamour of Las Vegas descends on the Madison Concourse Hotel for the Madison Junior Woman’s Club’s 18th annual Evening at the Casino.  On March 10th, hundreds of people will roll the dice and bet big to raise money for Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center.  Doors open at 7:00 p.m. 

Safe Harbor provides services to children in Dane County who are victims of abuse and a safe and friendly place to talk about what happened to them.  The March 10th event will raise money to support all that Safe Harbor does, including its extensive community outreach efforts.  You’ll enjoy casino games, food, plus a silent auction.

The evening’s casino games include craps, roulette, Texas Hold ’Em Poker, Money Wheel and blackjack with local celebrities as the blackjack dealers.  A sampling of the celebrity dealers donating their time are: John Beard, news anchor for WKOW 27 Madison; Stick of 94.1 WJJO; Garfield of 93.1 Jamz; Jimmie the Gap of WMAD-FM Star Country 96.3; Rex Charger of 106.7FM WTDY; Fish from Fish In the Morning, of 93.1 Jamz; Tarek Saleh, former UW Football player, and currently the host of “In the Trenches” on 100.5 FM ESPN Madison; and Nicole Joranstaad, 2010 Olympic curler for Team USA.  Jonathan Suttin of 105.5 Triple M will emcee the evening events.

The event auction has incredible items for attendees to bid on, including hotel getaways, a Green Bay Packers football autographed by the 2011-12 team, wine tasting tours, golf outings, dining packages from your favorite local restaurants, spa packages, Milwaukee Bucks tickets, and an in-home prepared dinner for six by Johnny Delmonico’s Chef.

About the Madison Junior Woman’s Club

MJWC is a volunteer organization of women that has been a part of the Madison community since 1959.  The group performs hands-on service projects and raises money for women- and children-focused charities in the community.
