The layering of colored pencils and acrylic paints is a fantastic technique for building up soft textures, sharp edges, and rich colors. Drawing from colorful photographs or still-life objects, you will explore the techniques used to take colored pencils a step beyond their traditional use. This class is taught by New York Botanical Garden graduate and Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Instructor, Dawn Flores. A supply list will be sent to you; bring a bag lunch.
