What's Your Lake Story?
Share your favorite local lake memory in a new project and contest
Whether it’s a beautiful sunset, the biggest fish you ever caught (or the one that got away) or a childhood memory, nearly every Madisonian has a personal connection to our lakes.
Madison Magazine, the Madison Children’s Museum and the UW Oral History Program want to hear your story. Submit it at the education tent at the Clean Lakes Festival, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 27 at Olin-Turville Park. The stories will be used to develop new exhibits at the Children’s Museum and eventually be archived by the UW Oral History Program.
Or submit your favorite Madison lakes photo and memory here through September 9, for a chance to win a prize.
