In a Li Chiao-Ping Dance performance, a dancer may speak, prompt laughter or relate a personal experience. Artistic director Li Chiao-Ping allows limitless creativity to tell a story.
“That’s the beauty of contemporary dance,” she says.
While she’s no stranger to collaborations, Li’s pushing herself with Take 2, an interdisciplinary performance combining dance and multimedia. “Every time you go out there and make something, it’s a challenge. I don’t work from formulas or templates.”
