Pick of the Week: Furry Friend
I admit, one of the reasons I look forward to the season change is the opportunity to wear a fresh wardrobe! I know, most people probably don't think that way, but hey, when you write about shopping and style for a job, how can you not? On one of the first cooler days of the season I was so excited to pull out my faux-fur vest that I purchased last year. I love it because it's effortlessly cool, keeps me warm and is just plain fun to wear.
Fur and faux fur as a trend is nothing new, but right now it's hot! I've seen faux fur trim on jackets, gloves and yes, even handbags. Although I have one vest already, I'm eyeing up another one from H&M—this lovely little white number with a bow. It has a rich feel to it, yet is only $14.95! I'm looking forward to snapping up this vest (or a similar one at H&M...they have a few versions) and wearing it in unconventional ways, like over a dress, paired with a button-up and dress pants or maybe with an all-black oufit. So many possiblities!
