Pick of the Week: So Fresh

Pick of the Week: So Fresh

I'm sure you've noticed that holiday items are hitting stores earlier and earlier. Like, when Farm & Fleet's Christmas toy area opens in October. Oh, yes, time's a-wasting when it comes to retailers getting holiday-themed items and décor out the door sooner and more quickly (Er, Halloween stuff in August? Yep, I've seen it) to shoppers. Sometimes this is a good thing because you can score good deals early in the season. Most times I just feel like I'm running behind in my shopping! Eek!

However, when I was introduced to Thymes's Frasier Fir collection I was sold on starting to celebrate the holidays a bit early. Technically you could use the Frasier Fir collection year-round but I think of cozy, snowy winter nights at home watching a movie with this delicious, crisp Siberian Fir tree-scented candle burning. The collection consists of many items, including hand wash and lotion, dishwashing detergent, candles, a diffuser and more. I've bought Thymes products as gifts for friends before (Thymes makes nineteen total scents; my favorites are Red Chérie and Ambersweet Orange) because they're soothing, smell great and are price-friendly. Best of all Thymes products are sold at many of my favorite gift destinations—local retailers—which I like to frequent.

New this year to the Frasier Fir collection are the pinecone branch candleholder (above) as well as some other cute decorative items.
