Pick of the Week: Pretty Print

Pick of the Week: Pretty Print

I don't know if it's the cooler weather or what, but I'm craving prints right now. I think they can completely elevate (and add excitement!) to your look, especially layered with neutrals or worn with a blazer, dark denim and boots. The prints I do have are mostly stripes or animal prints (like leopard or zebra). But I love crazy, zany prints and am always on the lookout for the next perfect print piece for my closet. When I stopped into J LaMore last week I saw this KAS tunic ($155) and thought it was a beautiful addition to the store's already chic mix of ruffly tops, jackets and cute cocktail dresses.

What's nice about this tunic/dress is depending on your height, it can be worn two ways: as a tunic (with leggings or skinny jeans) or as a dress (with black tights underneath). And you know my feelings on things that can be used or worn multiple ways: double the wardrobe mileage—love it! This exquisite tunic is one hundred percent silk and has a detailed, embroidered and beaded neckline and lovely keyhole in the back. I like that the colors are suitably neutral-ish that it could be worn to the workplace (depending on your workplace's dress code rules) or of course, on the weekend dressed up with some jeggings and platform heels, or dressed down with a long cardi, leggings and flat boots.
