5 Things I Love This Month

5 Things I Love This Month

These hot little sandals are now on sale at

Cage sandals are incredibly sexy and perfect for summer. I have a nude and black pair already but when I spied these fuchsia Michael Kors stunners on Shopbop (now on sale!) I went weak in the knees. Definitely a show stopping addition to any outfit.

Although there are so many iterations of denim that are on trend this summer (overalls, anyone?) I’m loving light wash denim right now. It’s so light and easy-breezy that you can pull on a pair with a slouchy tee and flats or a blazer and major heels. I found this incredibly affordable pair from Old Navy and I like its distressed look.

Spring and summer always seems to have a baby boom, no? These adorable Wisconsin-themed cards, created by Anthology owner Sachi Komai will greet the new little one in a cheeky fashion. Anthology, 218 State St. 204-2644.

Yes, I realize I just wrote about an amazing pair of shoes but sometimes said shoes can do a number on feet. Enter Dr. Scholl’s Rub Relief strips for her. These easy to tear strips come in a convenient tape dispenser and are soft and cushy on the feet. I use them on the heels of my pointy flats to prevent that painful rubbing on the back of my heels.

As an editor I have a critical eye when it comes to photography. So when I was looking for a photographer for a newborn photo session for my son, I enlisted the help of H. Claire Photography. Hanah Rosenbaum takes beautiful, touching photos of babies and families that convey the joy, beauty and love that families share. My son Ethan’s photos turned out so wonderfully that I’ll definitely be looking to Rosenbaum again for future baby and family photo sessions!
