Beauty Multitaskers You'll Want Check Out

Beauty Multitaskers You'll Want Check Out

Now that spring has (finally?) come, I find myself wanting to freshen up my look a bit. I wrote about a few skin-savers and beautifiers for spring in April’s City Style that you’ll want to check out, but I wanted to share a few more of my personal favorites—all of which are multitaskers and time-savers in the beauty department. Saving time and looking good? Count me in.

Bliss’s Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask is like a skin superhero in a bottle. Back in December 2011 I wrote about four mini-makeovers—one of which included a “red carpet facial” that promised results in thirty minutes (it did). Bliss’s product gives you results in under ten. This oxygen mask is the closest over-the-counter product I’ve found that mimics the red carpet facial—for half the price and several more treatments! The mask “instantly delivers a shot of oxygen, a powerhouse form of vitamin C, time-released antioxidants, and a moisture fix,” according to its description. After a loooong winter and a barely-there spring, my skin is loving the boost from this vitamin C-packed treatment. I tend to use it before events or when I need a beginning or midweek skin pick-me-up. $54, Sephora

After reading Glamour’s May 2013 article on the rise in skin cancer cases in women (800 percent in women ages 18-39!) I took a second look at what I use every day on my skin to prevent skin cancer. I love Jergen’s Natural Glow Moisturizer with SPF for all-over application (self-tanner, moisturizer and SPF in one!) and Lubriderm’s Daily Moisture Lotion with SPF 15 for my hands (which need protection too!).

Although my moisturizer has SPF in it, I wanted a double dose of protection for my face, which is exposed year-round. Neutrogena’s Clear Face sunscreen with SPF 30  is a wonderful product that’s non-greasy, absorbs quickly and won’t cause any skin issues. It layers perfectly under makeup, too. So make applying SPF every day less time-consuming by picking up one of these lotions that can moisturize and protect. Easy does it! $7.99-$8.49, Target, CVS and

If I’m putting on makeup in the morning I might as well use product that helps my skin, too. Enter Tarte’s Matte Waterproof Bronzer which not only delivers a believable (non-shimmery) glow, but it’s waterproof and has skin-friendly ingredients in it, like “pure water to deliver and retain moisture, vitamins A and E, which act as antioxidants to fight free radical damage, vitamin C, an antioxidant that fights free radical damage and prevents oxidative stress and premature signs of aging while brightening skin, and mineral pigments that are known for their soothing and softening properties.” Oh and it’s eco-friendly too. Did you catch all of that? It’s enough to give your visage a (skin-safe) sun-kissed look—even if you haven’t gotten out to catch many rays. $29, Sephora
