Pick of the Week
Looking for a way to diversify your wardrobe? I’ve frequently touted the benefits of changing up your look and wearing pieces in multiple ways. Recently I stopped at (shoo) to check out their high-end kicks including towering Jeffrey Campbell wedges, sparkly Corso Como sandals and killer Poetic License suede platform sandals … ah, shoes. Sorry, I got distracted thinking about footwear…back to my point: shoe clips. If you think shoe clips are best left in the ’80s, trust me, I feel you. I recall my mom having several (very cute) rhinestone versions that she’d clip on to her royal-blue, red and black pumps. Although they were stylish for their time they would likely look a bit outdated twenty-plus years later.
However, (shoo) sells chic, affordable shoe clips made by Barbara Zaharris, a Milwaukee artist, that retail for a mere $24. Now, I’ve seen shoe clips retail for much more than that online. And kicky pairs like boiled wool pom-poms, delicate chiffon bows (shown left) and quirky plaid flowers guarantee your shoes will have their own personality—and do double duty for two different looks!

Tidbits
Greenway Station has two new businesses opening this fall: Erehwon Mountain Outfitter and Ashley Furniture HomeStore. Erehwon will open in October and Ashley will open on or before Labor Day weekend.
Elizabeth Wewerka of Lady Moxie has sold her business and will be leaving Lady Moxie as of July 31. One of Wewerka’s loyal customers has bought the business from her and will continue running it. Not much will change, says Wewerka, as the location, name and consignment concept will stay the same. Wewerka is preparing for a hopeful career change into the Foreign Service as a diplomat in the field of economics. Good luck!

You likely have a favorite Memorial Union memory, whether it’s a stage performance you saw, viewing Lagerfeld Confidential, a documentary on Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld during the Wisconsin Film Festival (well, that’s me…), or of course, sitting in the sun on the Terrace. Relive those Terrace memories by purchasing a Brat Stand T-shirt, available in the very Terrace-like colors of yellow, green and orange. Bonus: wear your shirt to the Brat Stand five times and make a purchase, get it stamped—and get a free brat! Now that’s devotion.

As Madison Magazine's associate and style editor, Shayna Miller writes the monthly "Window Shopping" column about Madison's coolest store owners, products and shops. She also reports on Madison's most stylish people, chic items she loves, store events and sales, and additional dish in her weekly blog. Her favorite places to check out around town are consignment and vintage shops for one-of-a-kind treasures, new restaurants and bars, and anywhere that affords her the opportunity to meet and talk to Madison's most inspirational (and many times, fashionable!) people.
