Fashion Royalty on TV
Guys, the most amazing news was delivered from up above (fashion gods, were you listening?!): Vogue editor-at-large Andre Leon Talley is joining Season 8 of America’s Next Top Model! Although I read the news a couple of weeks ago I was reminded again by recent posts here and here. I mean, wasn’t it just last October I had written, “someone get this man a show?” 
Well, someone got this man a show, and it involves Miss J. Alexander (runway diva coach), Jay Manuel’s silver hair and crazy getups and, of course, Miss Tyra’s even crazier getups and “smize” advice (ummm, that means “smile with your eyes” for the uninitiated. She based an entire episode around this concept in Season 7. Serious stuff.)
I may just have to cancel all of my activities on Wednesday nights for this. I treasure anyone who sports a diamond Piaget watch and a Louis Vuitton outfit (complete with trunk and towel) for a game of tennis. Andre, seriously, call me! We have the same hobbies: reading Vogue, loving fashion, playing tennis … we’d be the best of friends!
OK, fine, I’ll just watch you on ANTM. At least we can catch up weekly.
