Pick of the Week: Pop of Color

Pick of the Week: Pop of Color

I am not a girl that shies away from color. If I'm wearing all black, I must wear colorful shoes. Same goes for my winter ensembles. Winter coats can be very sedate. How many black, gray or camel winter coats do you see strolling the streets (and yes, I have both a black and camel coat, too!)? I like to add a pop of color if my cute outfit is going to be obscured by my coat.

Enter Fair Indigo's fair-trade baby alpaca scarves—they are incredible. We actually profiled them in our gift guide here, but I had to give them a shout-out again because they're so lovely, and only clock in at $39. The number-one reason I like them is because they're a full seventy-one inches long by twelve inches across—that's pretty amazing, because the majority of scarves I find tend to be wimpy and small, and not wide enough so my neck is freezing. But you must touch this oh-so-soft woven piece to believe it. They come in eleven amazing colors (I love the hot-pink number, shown) and the purchase helps benefit rural communities in Peru. Win-win!

P.S.: These can't-miss scarves are $10 OFF and alpaca throws will be $89 (normally $129) this Saturday, December 11 from 9 a.m.–12 p.m. at the Hilldale store!

Fair Indigo, 570 N. Midvale Blvd. 661-7662.
