Pick of the Week: Brit Style
OK, I'm sure you're almost all royal wedding-ed out, and the nuptials haven't happened yet! Nonetheless Brit style is on the mind of everyone lately. And designer Matthew Williamson is a stunning example of English fashion at its best. The edgy designer who plays with the masculine/feminine aesthetic, released a capsule collection at Macy's on April 13th and I had the chance to view it recently—and I was giddy over how whimsical, yet absolutely covetable the collection was. The most impressive part of the line is that prices are ridiculously affordable—I'm talking $99-$109 for the chic cocktail dresses I saw—including this yellow one-shoulder stunner (shown in photo) replete with gem-encrusted belt.
Matthew Williamson's typical designs command $1,500-plus for dresses and jumpsuits, $300-plus for scarves and anywhere from $500-$800 for skirts and pants. Needless to say to own something Matthew Williamson will put you in a unique category of being at the top of fashion—for a rock-bottom price.
Check out his collection in Macy's Impulse section in stores and online. Prices range from $50-$150 for scarves, tops, bottoms and dresses.
