Tuesday, July 8

Unwind at Heritage Tavern with An Epicurean Happy Hour, a preview of the upcoming celebrity chef dinner to benefit Clean Wisconsin. Sample a special dish from Heritage’s Chef Dan Fox and a drink from bar manager Grant Hurless. Enter the raffle for a chance to win a seat for the October 8 Epicurean Evening at the renovated Edgewater Hotel—a $150 value. $5–7 per dish/drink, 4–6 p.m., facebook.com

Thursday, July 10

Check out the first dinner in the new Toast the Trust series, a fundraiser for the Madison Trust for Historic Preservation. This time it’s a summer barbecue with local beer and Heritage Tavern’s gin punch at the historic Bungalowen Cottage (and its attached year-round house) along Lake Monona. $75, 6 p.m., madisontrust.org

Join the Madison Parks Foundation in celebrating 120 years of parks with an ice cream social at Olin Park. Grab a cone from the Chocolate Shoppe and enjoy a relaxing evening complete with live music and activities for the kids. 6–8 p.m., madisonparksfoundation.org

Treat yourself to unlimited samples of 155 beers, plus dozens of bacon-themed foods and barbeque dishes at Sun Prairie’s inaugural Bacon, Brew & BBQ Fest in Angell Park. Catch a variety of live music throughout the day and cast a vote for your favorite foods. Best of Show winners in either the Bacon or BBQ category will move on to compete in the World Food Championships in Las Vegas. General admission tickets are available online for $60 through July 11. Limited tickets will also be available day of for $65, 1–5 p.m., bbbfest.com
