Tweeting Art Fair on the Square
This weekend, the fifty-fifth Art Fair on the Square took place, bringing artists from around the country to the Capitol Square to showcase their paintings, photography, sculpture, jewelry, glass and metal pieces, wood works and more. For the first time, the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art asked a handful of arts lovers to guest tweet the event—that is, share their observations via short Twitter messages.
I had the chance to participate, and happily received the first shift from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday. Here’s a look at my spin around the Square:

Tweeting about Art Fair was a blast, and the two hours flew by. There were so many other artists I wish I’d had time to mention—and I didn’t even touch on the fabulous food and entertainment taking place all around the Square. Well, too much good stuff is probably a sign of a great event.
